This first video in psychology was rather interesting because it talked about the teenage brain, our brain. It was interesting to see that all I thought about teenagers was true, like the way we change moods. I constantly change mood sometimes, especially when I am stressed. Stress makes my emotions become magnified because I can be mad at one moment and want to cry in another. I find this emotion instability funny because I also see it in friends my age and it’s so entertaining. Another thing I can relate to with this video is that sometimes I think parents don’t understand me, especially when they don’t let me go out both days of the weekend or sometimes they tell me thing I think are not correct at the moment. Although, after a while, I analyze the situation and they are right and they know more than I do and they have more experience, but they don’t understand how we think sometimes. I think my parents do a very good job in understanding us all the time. Another thing I could relate to was the late start. It is true, when we start at nine I don’t feel as sleepy as when we start at seven and I am more awake and concentrated. We also observed some brains scans and tests that prove sleeping is very healthy and help you become a better student and lead a more active and less exhausting life because you have energy. To prove this I started going to bed an hour early or two and it helped me a lot. In general, I like this video because it helped me understand how I work and my parents more.
